Ce film est hypnotique, fascinant, beau, violent. Les images que nous montrent Lars Von Trier sont maîtrisées à l'extrême, il torture sa palette de couleur très restreinte et l'utilise au maximum. Ce film est une expérience, il nous transforme Il défend des thèses indéfendables mais cela n'a aucune importance: nous montrer ce que l'on ne veut pas voir, voilà tout l'intérêt de l'art. Dans ce film on ne voit que trois acteurs, Charlotte Gainsbourg y est belle, crue, forte, femme. Lars Von Trier est un vrai artiste, un artiste capable de transformer la mort d'un enfant de trois ans en une expérience esthétique incroyable.
This movie is hypnotic, fascinating, beautiful, violent. The images that shows us Lars Von Trier are extremely mastered, he tortures his very restricted color palette and uses it at most. This movie is an experience, it transforms us. It defends indefensible theses but it has no importance: showing us what we do not want to see is what art is all about. In this movie we see only three actors, Charlotte Gainsbourg is beautiful, raw, strong, woman. Lars Von Trier is a real artist, an artist able to transform the death of a three-year-old child into an incredible aesthetic experience.
